Robust Content Creation & Editing for ATA Projects
ATAauthorPro™ is an ATA iSpec 2200 compliant solution for editing, managing and publishing documents. The standards-based, scalable PDF publishing capabilities are embedded in the editor to work in concert with ATApublisher™ and have no third-party dependencies or license requirements. AuthorPro enables authors to concentrate on technical content development instead of the final formatted and published outputs.
Author in standalone mode with a full publication, or in a modularized authoring workflow with seamless integration to the Common Source Data Base (CSDB) through Inmedius ATAmanager™.
AuthorPro offers full editing and publishing support for Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs) and Service Bulletins (SBs). In addition to support for iSpec 2200 SGML DTDs, authors may create documents that validate to XML schemas for a true XML workflow from editing to Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM/IETP) delivery.
The software includes project level support for function codes and effectivity management. With connectivity through Manager, authors gain visibility of project-wide assets to automate the insertion of links and graphics. The unique Aircraft Maintenance and Task Oriented Support System (TOSS) numbers may be managed and inserted while authoring, ensuring valid anchor key values and references.
The Inmedius ATA Publishing Suite™ includes AuthorPro, Publisher and Manager software modules, combined to deliver a fully integrated solution set supporting the ATA documentation lifecycle. The Suite supports and integrates the key functions of managing, authoring, viewing and publishing ATA data, while providing precise control over documentation delivery. Easy to implement, maintain and use, ATA Publishing Suite facilitates single or multiple ATA projects. This integrated solution enables project managers to establish rules to effectively and automatically manage projects from start-up through authoring to final delivery.
Work with full publications or with “burst”/modularized documents.
Check in and check out documents from Manager and synchronize project information.
Current DTD and XML schema support includes:
Create ATA documents that are compliant and delivered with speed and accuracy.
Authors can browse Manager to select project-specific graphics
Reuse, remove or retain ATA specific information, such as Standard Numbering System (SNS) and keys, from within the document or an external publication
Users can select from a pre-defined list of function codes and page block numbers, lists of subtask function codes can be automatically filtered according to task. Dynamic AMTOSS/MTOSS generation removes user error; Manager integration allows full automation of TOSS management at delivery time.
Project level management of function codes allows automatic generation of TOSS codes.
Automated effectivity insertion creates consistent document and project rules.
In addition to DTD and schema validation check, AuthorPro includes utilities to track un-balanced revision markers, remove legacy revision markers, check table structures and batch process text.
By synchronizing project information from Manager, the author of a modularized document can target other, remote, modules without requiring access to the document.
Ensure workstations are synchronized with the latest project settings, so each author has the most current information.
