The browser-based system enables local users to view ATA compliant documentation. Users feel at ease and proficient in the familiar environment, complete with annotations, bookmarks, search, and other advanced features like referencing or linking to external data. Working with an Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) makes it unnecessary to install costly software on the user's machine, allowing work in a Web-based environment.
Inmedius® ATAinteract™ provides a flexible publishing solution to view the same format on screen as on paper or PDF. The familiar look throughout the viewing process enables users to save time and increase productivity. Stylesheets for each ATA document type are provided and customizable. Once the information has been authored, Interact is the ultimate tool for viewing information compiled from the repository. Interact organizes and simplifies the navigation of massive amounts of highly detailed documentation, resulting in richer and more robust technical manuals.
Working in conjunction with authoring and management tools, composite information is automatically formatted and displayed
As an integrated solution, Interact works in conjunction with Inmedius ATAmanager™ to provide intelligent manuals for delivery. This tight integration greatly increases the likelihood that problems will be reported and addressed by the appropriate author, resulting in the highest quality technical manuals.
Interact and Manager are two of three software modules comprising the Inmedius ATA Publishing Suite™, a fully integrated solution set supporting the ATA documentation lifecycle. The Suite supports and integrates the key functions of managing and authoring with ATAauthorPro™ XE the online editor. ATA data can be viewed and published while providing precise control over documentation delivery, including support for PDF files and IETMs. Easy to implement, maintain and use, the Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software set facilitates single or multiple ATA projects.
Only with an integrated solution can rules established by project managers be so effectively and automatically carried out from start-up through authoring to final delivery.
This eliminates the need for any bothersome and costly software installations. Users can share ATA-compliant documents in a Web-based environment.
Support both connected and disconnected operations utilizing the system’s distinct deployment configuration
Interact works in conjunction with existing authoring and management tools, automatically formatting the composite information and displaying it to the user.
The viewer provides multiple methods of navigation through the document. Users can navigate a Table of Contents, Aircraft Maintenance and Task Oriented Support System (AMTOSS) numbers, and next or back, in content linearly or through navigation history.
Document Information can be accessed through the Table of Contents, by ATA chapters, and advanced searches
Changes are highlighted on a screen that compares information in the current document to a previous version. Sections of the data that have been changed, added or modified are highlighted in green. Data that has been deleted appears in red. Users can choose to display “Reason for Change”, if provided by the author.
Users are able to search for information in a specific manual or search across all manuals within the system. Search terms will be highlighted when found in the content.
Bookmarks help guide the user back to specific sections. Annotations can be used to highlight critical content. Complex graphics can be displayed with hotspots and magnification. Using the Figures Tab, users can reference a complete list of figures utilized in a specific manual.
Links can be created as URLS or files on disk and referenced from a link in the publication.
A flexible architecture allows you to quickly and easily respond to customer-specific customization requirements for presentation, such as the Graphical User Interface (GUI) or a different layout. The integrity of the source data structure is maintained, while customizing the appearance of the presentation, or modifying the look and feel of the content. Authoring systems and data formats can be used interchangeably, without altering the viewing system. Control the look and feel without distorting the information.
Interact creates consistency and structure by presenting the user with the same format on screen as they are accustomed to seeing on paper versions or PDF. Printing from Interact has the same look and feel, consistent with documents printed from the authoring environment. This ensures a consistent format for the user throughout the viewing and printing process.
